Elizabeth I Sixpence - 16th C

Elizabeth I sixpences are always nice to find and this one was no exception. I was out detecting on my own when I found this coin. I don't usually go out on my own now since I fell a few years ago when detecting in Wales and broke a bone in my ankle. Not a nice experience (see my story). The chap I arranged to go detecting with cried off at the last minute so, with flask and sarnie already fixed up, I went and it turned out to be a very nice day but I was half a mile from any habitation and was a bit nervous, so I was glad when I reached the car.

PS I would like to advise everyone not to go detecting alone because of unforeseen accidents, especially when, like myself, you are past your sell by date.
