Bronze Seal Vesica Shaped - 12th to 14th C

I must admit that I prefer to find artifacts rather than coins. An artifact is a more personal object and you can associate with it better. A coin is an impersonal thing passing from one person to another. So, finding the seal was great and even better, it is a personal seal with a girl's name on it S'ANABILIE BRATWAIT and dated to 12th - 14th C. The seal image is a pelican in her piety. It is a female pelican pecking at her breast to draw blood to feed her chicks in the nest below. This information was given to me by our FLO officer for South Yorkshire, Anna Marshall. Thank you Anna.
